The video I watched was from the Religion and the Feminist Movement Conference in which Riffat Hassan spoke about her world and her story really touched me. The first thing that surprised me was the there are more than 500 million Muslim women in the world but only two were present at the conference which demonstrates that Muslim women were badly underrepresented in the conference ("Religion and the Feminist Movement Conference - Panel III: Riffat Hassan", 2014). This is the major thing that stood out to me.
